Obituary for William Byron "B.B." Temple
Funeral services for Mr. William Byron “B.B.” Temple of Rayville, will be 11:00AM Saturday, September 3, 2022 at The House of Grace, 5629 Hwy 17 N. Delhi, with Bro. Roger Temple and Bro. Bennie Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Start Cemetery near Rayville under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Winnsboro. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Friday, September 2, 2022 at the church.
Mr. Temple was born July 21, 1951 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life on August 31, 2022 in Rayville, LA at the age of 71. He graduated with Master’s Degrees from LSU in 1974, and was a librarian and director with the Tensas Parish Public Library for over 30 years. His house was filled with books, as his favorite hobby was reading, he loved his family, and he especially loved his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Temple; and his siblings, John Keith Temple, Marilyn Louise Walker, Terry Lane Temple, and infant brother, Gary Mosten Temple.
Survivors include his brothers, Larry Clifford Temple, Roger Glen Temple and wife, Jane, Irvin Elijah Temple, all of Rayville, and James Craig Temple and wife, Kathleen of Mangham; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brian Temple, Gary Temple, J.C. Temple, Justin Orr, Brad Waller and Robert Craig Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers, Larry, Roger, Irvin and James.
The family would like to recognize and offer their sincere thanks to his special nieces, Malena Orr and Tina Waller, for their loving attention and care during B.B.’s last days here.
