Obituary for William "Billy" Mason
Funeral services for Mr. William “Billy” Mason of Winnsboro, will be 12:00PM Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Harvest Christian near Gilbert with Bro. Kim Kimball officiating. Interment will follow at Mason Cemetery in Leland under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial in Winnsboro. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until time of service Sunday at the church.
Mr. Mason was born July 29, 1948 in Wisner, LA and passed from this life on August 5, 2022 in Winnsboro, LA at the age of 74. He was a member of Harvest Christian Church in Gilbert for over ten years. Billy enjoyed mowing the yard, hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Ollie Mason, Sr. and Lola Mae Havis Mason; his son-in-law, Tom Rogers; one brother,, Wayne Mason; and two sisters, Lavon Mason and Carolyn Ensminger.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Pam Mason of Winnsboro; his children, Paula Rogers of Rayville, Russ Mason and wife, Sheila of Clayton, and Amy Boone and husband, Joe of Winnsboro; his siblings, twin brother, Bobby Mason of Sicily Island, Cheryl Lingefelt and husband, Buddy of Holly Ridge, Marilyn Seal and husband, Darryl of Leland, Frank Mason, Jr. and wife, Dewanna of Ferriday, and Dalton Mason of Rayville; brother-in-law, Freddie Foy; eight grandchildren, Curtis Rogers, Nick Rogers, Logan Mason and Caitlin, Ryan Mason, Emily Mason, Allison Rogers, Brittany Smith and husband, Collin, and Courtney Crane and husband, Johnny; also survived by five great-grandchildren with one on the way, “special daughter”, Linda Tannehill, and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Logan Mason, Ryan Mason, Collin Smith, Johnny Crane, Larry Plummer and Kalon Sellers. Honorary pallbearer will be Ronnie Kelley.
