Obituary for Thomas Herrington
Funeral services for Mr. Thomas A. Herrington, 77, of Winnsboro, will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at 2:00 PM in the sanctuary of Crowville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Wayne Ray and Rev. Jerry Wayne Hendrixson officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home.
Tommy, a farmer, was born on October 27, 1943, in Winnsboro, and passed from this life on June 19, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Wesley Herrington, Sr. and Wessie Alberta Magee Herrington and brother, Joe Wesley Herrington, Jr.
Tommy was a lifelong farmer who farmed with his dad first, then later with his brother, and continued the tradition with his son, Daren. He loved to fish, hunt, and travel with his wife.
Survivors left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patricia Cupit Herrington; daughters, Karen Herrington, Kathi Jo Herrington, and Kristina Herrington; son, Daren Herrington and wife Shelia; sister, Catherine McCarty and husband A.R. McCarty; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers will be C.L. Robbins, Terry Sharp, David Gumibellot, Jonathon Sharp, Lawrence Perritt, and Harold Huff. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jeff Hill.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, from 5:00-9:00 PM at Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home.
