Due to these unprecedented times, a private family funeral service has been scheduled for Ms. Shirley Temple, 75, of Winnsboro, on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Hunt Jr. officiating and Bro George Bates assisting. Burial will follow in Harris cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home.
Ms. Shirley was born on April 20, 1946, in Winnsboro, to the union of Lester Temple and Lela Walton Temple, and passed from this life on September 17, 2021, in Monroe. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Billy Wayne Temple, C.A. Temple, and Jesse Temple; and grandsons, Jerry Joe Parker and Steven Parker.
Survivors include her children, Tammy Smith, Dennis Parker and wife Tammy, Wanda Ashley and husband Johnny, Joe Parker Jr, Ann Parker, and Jeffery Parker; and brothers, Glen Temple and wife Kay, Lester Temple and wife Tommie, Gene Temple and wife Judy, and Jimmy Don Temple and wife Cindy. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Hatten, Jonathan Austin Weemes, Colby Blaise Hatten, Dennis Parker, Jeffery Parker, and James Covington
Honorary Pallbearers will be Louis Denemon.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, September 19, 2021, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the funeral home
