Gravesides services for Mr. R. L. Bamburg, of Newellton, will be 2:00PM Monday, October 16, 2023 at Legion Memorial Cemetery near Newellton with Rev. Barclay Tulles officiating. Interment will directly follow at the cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Winnsboro. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Sunday, October 15, 2023 at the funeral home.

Mr. Bamburg was born May 26, 1950 in Newellton, LA and passed from this life on October 11, 2023 in Newellton, LA at the age of 73. He was a member of the Baptist faith and a farmer for most of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing and watching sports. R.L. was a quiet man of few words, who loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John C. Bamburg and Lula Walker Bamburg; his brothers, Charlie, Johnny, James, Steve, and Louis Bamburg; and his sisters, Arlie Mae, Evelyn, Janie, Patricia (Pat) Carpenter.

Survivors include his children, Robert Bamburg, Jr. and wife, Angela, and their children, Lori and Dalton of Amherst, VA, Joseph Kiley Bamburg and wife, Kayla, and their children, Guinevere and Marston of Pike Road, AL, Brandon Christopher Bamburg and children, Logan and Mary Margaret, of Ferriday; two sisters, Marie Freeman and husband, Cleo of Natchitoches, Gayle Bamburg of Sevierville, TN; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cleo Freeman and Courtney Bamburg.
