Richard O’Neal Arnold, Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Richard O’Neal Arnold, Sr. of Delta, LA will be 2:00PM Wednesday, June 28, 2023 in the chapel of Young’s Community Memorial Winnsboro with Bro. Bobby Arnold and John Arnold officiating. Interment will follow at Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at the funeral home.
Mr. Arnold was born October 28, 1938 in Crowville, LA and passed from this life on June 24, 2023 in Delta, LA at the age of 84. He served in the United States Navy, and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Susie Arnold; three brothers, Kenneth Arnold, Royce Arnold and Ricky Arnold; and two sisters, Doris Spearman and Fannie Lee Finley.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jessie Nell Arnold; his children, Richard Arnold, Jr. and wife, Carla, Roger Arnold and wife, Rhonda, Stacy Herrin and husband, Jim, all of Vicksburg, MS, and Robert Arnold and wife, Heather of Brandon, MS; four brothers, Rev. Bobby Arnold and wife, Ruth of Crowville, John Arnold and wife, Barbara of Vicksburg, MS, Bruce Arnold and L.A. of Brandon, MS, and Arthur Arnold and wife, Brenda of Texas; his grandchildren, John Herrin and wife, Caitlin, James Herrin and wife, Abi, Jessie Ann Arnold, Baily Arnold and Matthew, Dallas Arnold and Alyssa Arnold; his great-grandchildren, Landon Herrin, Julia Herrin, Kase Boyd, Skyla Rose Willis, M.J. Stanley, Kade Vaughan, Belle Kate Vaughan, Atticus Yates and Tatum Yates; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be John Herrin, Dallas Arnold, Roger Arnold, Mike Goings, Jason Arnold, Jim Herrin and Robert Arnold. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Arnold, David Beckham, James Herrin, Jill Lee Penick, and Obadiah Moore.
