Obituary for John Holloway
Graveside service for John Lamar Holloway, 72, of Gilbert, LA, will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at South Central Baptist Cemetery near Wisner, LA with Bro. Ron Ferrington officiating.
Mr. John, a welder, was born to the union of John Virgil and Betty Givens Holloway on January 10, 1951, and passed from this life on Monday, January 23, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Betty Holloway; a son, Zackery Holloway; two brothers, James Holloway and Jesse Holloway; and his life partner of 30 years Charlie Buhler. He was also preceded in death by three uncles, M.C. Givens, Kenneth Givens, and Curtis Givens; and two aunts, Dorothy Miley and Nila (Polly) Rayborn.
Survivors left to cherish his memory are his sister, Janice Buford; a grandbaby, Katelyn Holloway; three uncles, Melvin Givens, Aubrey Givens, Ralph Givens; and aunt Joyce Landry. He is also survived by a host of cousins, friends, and family.
