Obituary for Evelyn Aymond
Funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Aymond, 90, of Wisner, will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, October 2, 2021, in the chapel of First Baptist Church-Wisner, with Bro. Thomas Peoples officiating. Burial will follow in South Central Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home.
Evelyn was born on July 30, 1931, in Delhi, LA to the union of James Kyler Williams and Edra B. Lester, and passed from this life on September 26, 2021, in Wisner, LA. She is preceded in death by her father, James Kyler Williams; mother, Edra B. Lester Pettibone; husband, William C. Aymond, Jr; brother, Carrol Williams; and great-granddaughter, Arabella Wolcott.
Survivors include her children, Cheryl Cheatham and husband Bobby of Baytown, TX., and Kyle Aymond of Wisner, LA; brother, Rufus Williams of Vivian, LA; sisters, Cleora Smith of Minden, LA and Judy Kowis of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer Jones and husband Eddie, Jarred Higgerson, Garrett Aymond and wife April Aymond, and Claire Aymond; great-grandchildren, Paige Joines and husband Jon, Maddie Jones, Tori Higgerson, Grayson Higgerson, Trip Higgerson, Skyler Higgerson, Grant Aymond, and Knox Aymond; great-great-grandchildren, Jett Joines and Drew Joines. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Scott Smith, Bryan Kowis, Eddie Jones, Jon Joines, Pete Lachney, and Bruce Davis.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM at the church.
