Services for Mrs. Clara Riser Strickland, 86, of Winnsboro, LA, will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 12:30 P.M. at the Crowville Masonic Cemetery in Crowville, LA with Bro. Marion Spence officiating.

The family will receive friends and family for visitation on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 10 A.M.– 12 P.M. in the chapel of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.

Clara was born to the union of Melton and Pauline Riser on Wednesday, November 20, 1935, and passed from this life on Sunday, June 12, 2022. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Sonny Strickland; father, Melton “Goose” Howard Riser; mother, Pauline “Polly” Josephine Riser; daughter, Cathy McGurk; son, William Daniel “Billy” Riser; sister, Modene Maxwell; sister, Etta Brady; brother, Melton Howard Riser, Jr.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Paula Williams and husband Danny; and Doris Riser and husband Keith Lofton; brother, Willis Arthur “Dub” Riser. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Pallbearers will be Joey Smith, Matt Smith, Ronnie Dunn, Keith Lofton, Danny Williams and Adam McKenzie.

Honorary pallbearer will be Hayden Smith.
