Obituary for Barbara Temple (Evans)
Graveside services for Barbara Mae Temple, 71, of West Monroe, LA, will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 2 P.M. at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home, Winnsboro.
The family will receive friends and family for visitation on Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 12:30 P.M. – 1:30 P.M. in the chapel of Young’s Community Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Barbara was born to the union of David and Johnnie Mae Evans on July 6, 1951, and passed from this life on Monday, May 1, 2023. She is preceded in death by her spouse, C. A. Temple; father, David Evans; mother, Johnnie Mae Austin Evans; and daughter, Cynthia Temple. Barbara loved playing with her grandchildren, playing card games, quilting and doing canvas work. Her special family activities were Sunday grills with the whole family, Easter egg hunts with the grandkids, and the holiday gatherings.
Survivors left to cherish her memory are her daughters, LaShae Temple Dupree and Amanda Youngblood; her sons, Bobbie Jo Temple, Jimmy Temple, Clyde Temple, and Daniel Temple; brothers, James Evans and Steve Evans; sisters, Sandra Reagan, Shirley Evans, Caroline Evans, Iva Leah Evans, and Mary Owens. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
The pallbearers will be Lucky Dupre, Ted Coughran, Clyde Temple, Michael Mathews, Jimmy Youngblood, and Lucas Dupre.
The honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Elliot Temple.
